BIM Manager

We are  seeking a BIM Manager for a multi-office, growing architecture firm to focus on equipping their team(s) with the knowledge and skills required to leverage the full potential of current and emerging Design Technology platforms and applications, in conformance with our firm’s modeling/ documentation standards and unified processes.
The primary responsibility of this role will be to teach first, ensuring our team members are sufficiently equipped to leverage best-in-class tools to deliver superior solutions to our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sources and develops training materials for project teams to support the adoption of Design Technology processes, while also assessing firmwide knowledge, establishing learning paths, overseeing team development, building a network of subject matter experts, acquiring training resources, and maintaining a knowledge repository for on-demand access.
  • Conducts regular software and workflow training, onboarding new employees on BIM resources, and provides periodic training for architectural staff.
  • Oversees BIM Model Managers to ensure standards are maintained and seeks opportunities for hands-on learning experiences tailored to project needs, maintaining a quarterly physical presence in each office.
  • Establishes and coordinates Design Technology/BIM protocols and execution plans, facilitating BIM kick-off meetings for all projects to establish best practices.
  • Collaborates with operational leadership to set success metrics for Model/Drawing standards, oversees the creation and distribution of BEP processes on every project, and monitors, measures, and reports on key BIM performance metrics.
  • Coordinates BIM after-action reviews, collaborates on model and team member assessments, and provides project leaders with summary reports highlighting areas for improvement, along with necessary steps and end-user training as needed.
  • Manages content and templates, ensuring consistent standards, conducting quality control reviews for BIM adherence, and overseeing the implementation of BIM content/libraries for staff use
REQUIREMENTS
  • Professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited University, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Registered Architect preferred.
  • Autodesk Certification in Revit preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the Architecture field.
  • Experience creating written and/or recorded workflows and learning resources.
  • Experience implementing and supporting new/existing workflows.
  • Experience in performing trainings of processes and software solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Expertise in relevant industry software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe products, and MS Office, as well as in-depth working knowledge of current Design Technology software versions with emphasis on BIM content and project set-up.
  • Innovative thinker, able to develop new ideas, systems, and technologies, while also analyzing and improving current ones.
  • Initiating and hosting video conferences with large groups.
  • Comfortable with multiple projects occurring simultaneously, and multi-tasking. Carries a sense of urgency for goal achievement.
  • Occasional travel to each of the firms’ offices for on-site training will be required.
