Healthcare Project Architect

 We are seeking a Project Architect with experience in healthcare project types for a well established architecture firm in their Dallas office. The Project Architect will be responsible for the overall execution and efficient development of one or more significant healthcare projects.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • 5-8 years of experience managing the development of healthcare projects. 
  • Experience coordinating consultants, specifications, managing production staff and project schedules
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Professional degree in architecture
  • Licensed or pursuing licensure
  • Proficient with Revit and Microsoft Office (required)
  • Proficient with Photoshop (preferred)
  • Excellent written, oral and graphic communication skills
  • Displays consistency, dependability, reliability and accuracy, along with high attention to detail and client focus.

Duties:

  • Managing the project team members’ day‐to‐day assignments
  • Managing the quality and timeliness of the execution of the work
  • Supports PM in maintaining client rapport and satisfaction
  • Protects the firm’s liability exposure to the fullest extent possible
  • Coordinates and assures maintenance of project logs, and files
  • Assists in design charrettes
  • Preforms and coordinates quality assurance reviews at appropriate stages in the development of the design and documentation
  • Together with the PM, creates budget, schedule, and project implementation planning (resource loaded workplan), makes adjustments and adheres to schedules or scope of work as PIC / PM deemed necessary
  • Works with PM to monitor project status and conveys problems and suggested solutions to PIC, and determines action plan in concert with PM
  • Responsible for day‐to‐day communications with PM, consultants, and government agencies. Makes appearances before client groups, building departments, other government agencies, etc. as required to advance the project toward construction and eventual occupancy
  • Able to organize, prepare for, and run meetings
  • Assists with the development of the building program, design concepts, and synthesis. Jointly ensures fidelity between the program, the building design, and the budget with the Project Designer
  • Initiates the design and development of building systems and details
  • Develops and coordinates specifications
  • Coordinates and implements selection of materials, colors, and finishes to maintain the design intent
  • Participates in value analysis activities required to keep the project within the owner’s project budget
  • Jointly responsible for constructability, code compliance, and coordination with government agencies with the Project Designer
  • Responsible for accuracy and completeness of construction documents and coordination with other disciplines
  • Continuously reviews drawings and specifications. Obtains QAQC review and signature
  • Assists PM in bidding/negotiation activities. Answers inquiries from bidders and coordinates issuance of Addenda
  • Administers or supervises construction contract administration services
    • Reviews RFI’s
    • Submittals
    • Site/Field visits and issues field reports
    • Punch List
    • Issues ASI’s
    • Reviews Pay applications (with PM)
    • Change orders
    • Attends OAC meetings
    • Coordinates with contractor in producing close out documents for AHJ's
