Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a full-time Business Development Specialist for identifying SENIOR LIVING project opportunities in the Texas Region

Our Client is a national expertise driven architectural and design firm specializing in educational, healing and senior living environments, with offices in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Texas. They are seeking to expand their practice in their Dallas, TX office to reflect market sectors in their other office locations. 

The Business Development Specialist will: 
  • Organize, plan, schedule and manage the Texas office’s business development effort
  • Track BD opportunities with 1) Texas and 2) National (Phoenix, Indiana, Nashville) BD leaders
  • Partner with regional leadership to develop a standard of practice that addresses the unique requirements of this market sector
  • Prepare and track annual BD Goals and budget for Texas office
  • Research and gather information on potential clients and projects
  • Schedule meetings with new and existing clients to discover project information

Opportunity & Relationship Cultivation

  • Maintain a high profile in professional and community organizations
  • Establish rapport and cultivate relationships with new clients
  • Maintain relationship with existing clients
  • Seek business opportunities for the firm in Texas
  • Represent the firm at the highest level to clients, peer-organizations, and business associates
  • Engage in professional development

Team Leadership

  • Support Market Champions in Business Development Efforts/Strategy
  • Make commitments for the firm with direction from Partners
  • Work in collaboration with other FIRM leaders to leverage the capabilities of the Firm and help build the practice within our Southeast region

Marketing

  • Work with Creative Services and Technical Staff to develop contract-winning proposals and presentations
  • Develop and pitch conference and training seminar content to external and internal partners
  • Think strategically about leveraging partnerships, organizational leaderships for maximum outcome

Skillset

Relational:

  • Experience developing relationships with new and existing clients that would enhance the firm’s competitive advantage and positioning in the Texas
  • Proven leadership and management skills, including the ability to develop collaborative relationships that lead to successful results, within the firm and externally – with clients, consultants, and other key participants in the design and development process
  • Excellent Interpersonal Relationship Skills

Professional:

  • Proven track record of success in working in a senior management role, including participation in development of client relationships that lead to new and continuing business
  • Proactive spirit and self-motivated, possessing the ability to thrive with minimal guidance
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present as a Thought Leader in various venues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to be articulate and convincing in interviews and other presentations
  • Desire to connect the vision of FIRM with his/her job
