We are seeking a Branding and Design Manager to join a premier developer of urban multifamily and mixed-use communities in the country.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The design manager will produce custom brand identity and leasing materials for 2-3 Class A multifamily projects per year.
- The design manager will produce brand design concepts, working with internal team to develop the project narrative. The designer will build a brand guide and custom elements including a logomark, wordmark, taglines, brand pattern, type hierarchy, color palette, and custom illustrations.
- The design manager will design the project print collateral including brochures, stationery package, business cards, and letterhead.
- The design manager will art direct outside vendors, including the property website, social media, display ads, signage, renderings, and photography, giving feedback to ensure brand consistency and quality.
- The design manager will update and produce company marketing materials, including pitch decks, company website, and internal communications.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strength in building a brand narrative and placemaking through graphic design with experience crafting and presenting brand concepts.
- Ability to create brand elements, including patterns, illustrations, photo treatments, type layouts, and color schemes.
- Passion for typography with an ability to build custom type and custom marks for logos.
- Strong print design skills with experience specifying paper and working with custom print techniques such as embossing, foiling, and die cutting.
- Understanding of file types and ability to prepare design files for print and digital applications.
- Ability to direct photo and video shoots, ensuring brand consistency from shot list to editing.
- Proficiency in designing various digital media. Awareness of social media communication and voice with the ability to extend a brand across all social feeds.
- Conceptual writing skills with experience writing taglines, descriptions, and social media copy.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to ask the right questions, explain brand concepts, discuss feedback, and make requests to drive a project forward.
- A team player with a positive attitude, good work ethic, and a high level of professionalism.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Bachelor of Fine Arts, Communication or other relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 4+ years as a graphic designer, art director, or similar role. 2+ years in the real estate industry preferred.
- Software proficiency requirements: InDesign, Photoshop
- Conceptual writing skills and experience.
- Availability to work in the Dallas office 5 days/week
