Design Procurement Specialist

This role is equal parts procurement guru, logistics wrangler, and design team collaborator.
This role is onsite in Dallas and hourly rate is $18-20/hour either Part Time or Full Time. 

As the Design Procurement Specialist , you will:

  • Support the design team as needed in obtaining pricing and product information, preparing schedules, and sourcing.
  • Obtain quotes, create proposals and execute purchase orders  
  • Record all acknowledgments, lead times, and delivery dates.
  • Track all shipments ensuring progress toward agreed lead time; handle damage claims; actively communicate with receiver and designer to flag any discrepancies or open items and resolve them.
  • Synchronize all deliveries, inspections and other project logistics to ensure a smooth installation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support efficient procurement and pricing.
  • Reconcile purchase orders with invoices and payments to ensure data accuracy with accounting office.
  • Keep detailed records for all purchases and project documentation
  • Provide internal updates for team meetings and weekly client status reports

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in interior design procurement or project logistics
  • Proficiency in Design Smart Software preferred or similar procurement software
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks 
  • Detail-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines and keep priorities straight
  • Professional and confident communicator — both written and verbal
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Positive energy, humor, and flexibility are musts
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
