This role is equal parts procurement guru, logistics wrangler, and design team collaborator.
This role is onsite in Dallas and hourly rate is $18-20/hour either Part Time or Full Time.
As the Design Procurement Specialist , you will:
- Support the design team as needed in obtaining pricing and product information, preparing schedules, and sourcing.
- Obtain quotes, create proposals and execute purchase orders
- Record all acknowledgments, lead times, and delivery dates.
- Track all shipments ensuring progress toward agreed lead time; handle damage claims; actively communicate with receiver and designer to flag any discrepancies or open items and resolve them.
- Synchronize all deliveries, inspections and other project logistics to ensure a smooth installation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support efficient procurement and pricing.
- Reconcile purchase orders with invoices and payments to ensure data accuracy with accounting office.
- Keep detailed records for all purchases and project documentation
- Provide internal updates for team meetings and weekly client status reports
Qualifications
- Previous experience in interior design procurement or project logistics
- Proficiency in Design Smart Software preferred or similar procurement software
- Proficiency in Quickbooks
- Detail-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to manage multiple timelines and keep priorities straight
- Professional and confident communicator — both written and verbal
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Positive energy, humor, and flexibility are musts
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
