We are seeking a
Project Architect with experience in public project types for a well established architecture firm in their Houston office.
FIRM:
Our client is a leader in public sector architectural design and facility planning services. They have been performing award-winning design for over four decades, from high-profile projects for public administration, public safety, justice, court, and quality-of-life amenities, to highly technical projects like training complexes and medical centers.
ROLE:
The Project Architect is the primary contact and leader of the project team, including a number of highly specialized consultants. Responsibilities primarily begin early in design collaborating with a Project Manager and/or a Project Designer and continues through construction completion. These responsibilities include leading the project team to a successful implementation of the design intent into a cohesive and coordinated set of contract documents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing the development of small to medium-sized projects of varying types for public project types, including Municipal and civic projects.
- Experience coordinating consultants, specifications, managing production staff and project schedules
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Professional degree in architecture
- Licensed or pursuing licensure
- Proficient with Revit and Microsoft Office (required)
- Proficient with Photoshop (preferred)
- Excellent written, oral and graphic communication skills
- Displays consistency, dependability, reliability and accuracy, along with high attention to detail and client focus.
