We are searching for an Architectural Intern or Draftsman with 1-3 years of experience for a fully onsite opportunity working for an Architectural firm in Benbrook, TX. Projects would include commercial retail projects. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Become familiar with company’s CAD and file management standards
• Draft plans and detailed drawings for architectural related improvements including floor plans, elevations, sections and details working from sketches, data and direction or notes received from the Project Manager
• Develop Construction Documents under direction of the Project Manager for various projects
• Make revisions to project drawings marked up by Client and/or Architect
• Coordinate architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical designs received from other project consultants with architectural plans under direction of the Project Manager
• Communicate with outside consultants and clients in exchanging data and managing that data in accordance with guidelines
• Create and/or modify base drawings, which may be used in a variety of presentation documents
• Be flexible and accommodating in working on multiple projects

WORK/EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Associate degree from an accredited technical school with CAD design specialization is required; Bachelor’s of Architecture is a plus
• 1-3 years of related work experience is a plus
• Fluency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with Revit is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
