Responsibilities

• Preparing K-12, Higher Education, and Commercial project specifications from firm master specifications
• Product research and evaluation
• Technical design assistance
• Construction contract administration support of design studio staff
• Mentoring of design studio technical staff

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates should be able to work independently. 
• Candidates should be meticulous, possess exceptional judgment, and experienced in the ability to communicate the qualitative requirements for materials, products, systems, and workmanship clearly and concisely.   
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or similar degree required
• 20 years of experience in the design & construction industry
• 5+ years of experience as a Specifications Writer.  
• Experience writing specifications for K-12 Education projects is highly preferred.
• Experience with Deltek (Formerly ARCOM) MasterSpec editing tools also preferred. 
• Licensed architect, CSI CCS, or CSI CCCA desired.
